In 2018, The New Carlsberg Foundation gifted the kings collection 16 Gobelins (tapestries), that was too be displayed in the Knight Hall and the Dance Hall at Koldinghus, to celebrate the fortresses 750 year anniversary. 7 years later, most of the Gobelins are done and to celebrate both that, and the unique bond between Denmark and France, the woven works of art were to be displayed at the Grand Palais in Paris. We got the honorable job of making three films for the exhibition. An introduction film, a film about the danish artists and their process and last, but definitely not least, a film about the weavers and their incredible patience, craftsmanship and devotion.

Our goal was to create cinematic and emotionally resonant films, combining archival material, still photography, and documentary storytelling to form a dynamic, immersive experience. Above all, we wanted viewers to feel the history – and to truly grasp the quiet magic of the weaving process.
