With a new campaign produced by Holly, The Danish Crime Prevention Council aim to help people get better at identifying digital scamming, with a heightened focus on our own reaction patterns.
We have created different elements for the campaign. 3 main films that each focuses on our reacting patterns in different everyday situations, an explainer giving a broader view on the important issue of digital scams, from human behaviour to the way we social media and digitalization has shaped us today.
Every year, approximately 150.000 danish citizens fall victim to digital scams, as the scamming techniques are constantly evolving and becoming more refined.
But they have one thing I common; the method of exploiting our human nature. The digital scammers are exploiting our trust, goodwill, faith in authorities, fear or stress, with the end goal of making us react and engage in their scam.
